HOUSING FOR CHICAGO TRAINING

Loyola University

The Training Program for the Summer of 2008 will be held at Loyola’s Water Tower Campus two blocks from North Michigan Avenue and Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.  For information about housing in Loyola’s new state-of-the-art dorm and parking arrangements, if needed, call the Institute of Pastoral Studies at 1-800-424-1238 or 1-312-915-7400.  The Training will be held in this building.

The hotels listed below are suggestions for when the Training is held at Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus and so are rather distant from this Summer’s venue.   If you want to stay at a downtown Chicago hotel, look for hotels around the North Michigan Avenue area.

Hilton Garden Inn, Evanston

Located at 1818 Maple Ave in Evanston.  A 20-25 minute car ride north of the campus and accessible by public transportation.   Call 847-475-6400.

Margarita European Inn

This is a quaint Inn located at 1566 Oak St. in Evanston.  It is north of the Lake Shore Campus about a 20-25 minute car ride.  Call 847-869-2273 for reservations.

Double Tree Chicago-North Shore Hotel

9599 Skokie Blvd. About 25” NW from campus.  Not accessible by public transportation.  Call 847-679-7000.

Howard Johnson

9333 Skokie Blvd.  Right next to the Double Tree.  Not accessible by public transportation. Call 847-679-4200.

Hampton Inn and Suites

5201 Old Orchard Rd.  As far north as Double Tree and Howard Johnson and a little farther west across the Edens Expressway.  Not accessible by public transportation. Call 847-583-1111 or 800 HAMPTON.
