What is the program about?
The Enneagram spectrum of personality styles has proven to be useful in many contexts such as personal, couple, and family therapy; spiritual direction; business consulting and coaching around leadership, management, and team building; learning and teaching styles. Since the Enneagram touches on many levels of reality, it can be applied at varying levels of intensity and depth.
This training and certification program is designed for individuals wishing to use the Enneagram in workshops, small groups, or one-to-one interactions in these various business, educational, consulting, therapeutic, and spiritual development settings. Individuals wishing to enhance their own personal and interpersonal understanding and development can also profit from this training.

What are the requirements of the program?
Participants should have some knowledge of the Enneagram system either
through reading or preferably through workshop attendance prior to the training.
Participants are asked to complete and hand in the 30 reflection
questions found in Wagner's Enneagram Spectrum of Personality Styles : an
Introductory Guide in order to demonstrate their personal experiential grasp of the various dimensions of the
Enneagram system.
The requirements for Certification and for Certification + graduate
credit are the same.

The Summer Training will be held in the Baumhart
Center at Loyola’s Water Tower Campus.
This all-purpose building, including individual and multiple
occupancy dorm rooms, is located at the corner of Wabash and Pearson minutes
away from restaurants, entertainment, and shopping on North Michigan Ave and
Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
What is the cost of the training?

36 Continuing Education Credits (CEC's) are offered through the Institute
of Pastoral Studies.
Who does the actual teaching?
Dr. Jerome Wagner, Ph.D. conducts the trainings. He is a licensed
clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, training supervisor, lecturer, and
author. He is a faculty member of Loyola University, Chicago, and has a
private therapy and consulting practice in Evanston, IL.
Dr. Wagner was among the earliest students of the Enneagram in the United
States. His dissertation was one of the first written descriptions of the
Enneagram and pioneered formal research studies on the Enneagram. Part of his
study involved constructing an Enneagram inventory. The current version and
Manual of his highly researched and statistically validated Wagner Enneagram
Personality Style Scales (WEPPS) is available from Western Psychological
Services (800-648-8857.) The WEPSS is the only Enneagram inventory reviewed in
Buros's Mental Measurements Yearbook (15th edition).
Dr. Wagner is the author of the Enneagram Spectrum of Personality Styles:
an Introductory Guide published by Metamorphous Press, 1996 (800-233-6277) and
of a 6 tape audiocassette Two Windows on the Self: the Enneagram and
Myers-Briggs distributed by Credence Communications (816-454-1500).
Jerry has taught a graduate level course on the Enneagram in the Institute
of Pastoral Studies at Loyola University, Chicago, since 1980; and he began
the Enneagram Spectrum Training and Certification Program there in 1995. He
has presented Enneagram workshops for therapists, spiritual directors,
educators, businesses, and personal growth audiences. Jerry has spoken at all
the IEA Conferences and was a coordinator of the Enneagram Special Event
conference held at Loyola. He has presented the Enneagram at the American
Psychological Association, Illinois Psychological Association, and American
Counseling Association conferences. Jerry was on the Board of Directors of the
IEA and has been the editor of the NinePoints Bulletin.

What benefits come with certification?
Participants are certified through a recognized Enneagram teacher, author,
researcher and sponsored by a graduate program in a major University. If participants enroll
for 3 graduate credits, they may be applied towards education, business, counseling,
spirituality, etc. degrees. The 36 CEC's can be applied to education,
psychology, social work, et.al. continuing education requirements. Participants can network with other trainees, receive
discounts on the author's book, test, and tapes, and receive complimentary
consultation with the presenter for issues and questions that may arise after the training.
What is the refund policy?
All money is refunded if students cannot attend the training.
